iCeL San Francisco was founded by BASS Electric President Jeffrey Yee in early 2008. When Mr. Yee and iCeL Systems CEO Chaz Haba met at an IBEW-NECA conference in San Francisco, both realized an affinity between their two companies. At the opening of 2009, iCeL San Francisco had the honor of installing solar energy storage systems at the Social Security Administration (SSA) in Richmond, California. Two entry guardhouses required power for running an air conditioning unit and several other appliances. The SSA searched for a way to avoid the costly and burdensome task of trenching the asphalt parking lot to lay more electrical cables for supplying the necessary energy. iCeL San Francisco provided the perfect solution: the SG-1.
